The CMSP Harvest, an alumni organization of CMSP college graduates, has just concluded their annual Christmas gift-giving program, entitled: ‘The Harvest Gift of Love: Children’s Christmas Festival’ for the benefit of the children at the CMS Children’s Village. The special event, attended by 18 Harvest Alumni and 6 volunteers, was held last Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Sports and Social Activity Center (SSAC) with a total of 155 participants and beneficiaries.
Various booths such as Frosty Ice Cream, Merry-Go-Round, Choco Dip, Christmas Balls, Shooting Star, Boom Panes, DYC (Decorate-Your-Cake) and others were put up by the Harvest members for all children to enjoy. Loot Bags of assorted goodies like fruits and candies were also distributed to the children. A hearty meal of pancit Malabon and fried chicken was served at lunch time. Lots of fun and games were held to the delight of the children. Personal hygiene bags containing bath soap, shampoo, bar soap and toothpaste were also donated. More than these, the best gift to give and receive this Christmas is the gift of love in Jesus!
CMSP would like to gratefully acknowledge the kindness and support of some dear friends, Ms. Felanie Fatima Pabustan of Red Ribbon Bakeshop together with Mr. Jessie Tan and 3 others. It was another fun-filled day for the children at the CMS Children’s Village, courtesy of the CMSP Harvest Alumni. According to Harvest President, Rosalyn Remoto, it was their own special way of ‘giving back’ to CMSP by spreading Christmas cheer and by sharing their blessings with the children to celebrate the simple joys of Christmas – the birth of Jesus – the greatest gift of all![fb_button]
