Last October 30, 2009 is a moment that I couldn’t forget. Why? Because we successfully celebrated our Children’s Fellowship. It was facilitated by the Children’s Council now named “Young Leaders Club.” We made our night inspiring and enjoyable by having games and short presentations which we learned something from. We were also glad of Ate Rie’s presence, of Para Sa Iyo of Japan. With our theme “A Start of Something New,” we were able to evaluate and examine ourselves about our wrongdoings. The youth council was also very happy and thankful for having this program as part of the observance of Transformation and Renewal Month. For us, it’s a great opportunity to encourage our fellow children to have a meaningful and fruitful life.
A start of something new simply tells us that we should start a new life through God’s bountiful grace. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has gone, the new has come.” Life is definitely useless without God in our lives. We couldn’t experience the true love, joy and peace if we’re not in God’s hand. When you fear the Lord, you fear nothing more. The fear of the Lord is like a rich garden of blessings and you would not want a better place. Change is possible if we could only put our trust in Him and fear Him. God can mold us into a better person because this is how He works in my life. When I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior, He changed everything in me. He opened my eyes to the things I can’t see and believe in. Then He opened my heart and let me feel His great love, he cleansed it and transformed it. And this is how something new begins.
