CMSP Joins CMD 60th Anniversary Celebration

CMSP congratulates its mission leaders and partners from CMD on its 60th Founding Anniversary with a weeklong celebration in July at its headquarters in Burk-Meierndorf, Germany. CMD Chairman, Mr. Markus Vogel, Vice-President Dr. Horst Kowski, Treasurer Willi Foell and CMD Business Manager Dr. Markus Romeis led the celebration during the anniversary worship service at the Lutheran Church in Wieseth. The Guest of Honor and Speaker was Germany’s Defense Minister Dr. Ursula Von Der Leyen who spoke about the important role of CMD in helping tens of thousands of children in developing countries like India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Philippines, Israel and Congo.

CMSP Executive Director Dinah U. Macaranas, Treasurer Atty. Estrella D. Zaldivar, Assistant Director Keith Quebral and 2 others represented CMSP during the anniversary festivities. It was also an occasion to meet with CMD leaders from Germany and Switzerland on the future prospects of the life and ministry CMD in relation to the work of CMSP. We continue to uphold one another in solidarity and prayers as partners in this ministry with children. Many CMD partners and volunteers who came to CMSP some years ago were also present during the anniversary service.

We praise and thank the Lord our God for guiding CMD’s Founder, Dr. Emil Richter 60 years ago to initiate a fund campaign among his friends and colleagues to raise awareness on the need to help indigent children in India. It was a monumental first step that led to the creation of CMD and the expansion of its ministries in other countries like the Philippines.

CMSP looks forward with greater confidence to strengthening its enduring partnership with CMD. It encourages a more constructive engagement with mission partners and friends to serve the best interest and welfare of the children. We trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit to lead CMSP in realizing its vision of ‘A Life Changing Ministry for Children’ in the years to come. To God be the glory!
